Use of this page to register for the Monkey Valley Race indicates that you have read and agreed to the race waiver below.
Registration Deadlines: Online registration ends May 1. Registrations will be accepted after this date, but it may be too late to order a T-shirt. (Please go ahead and enter your size in case we have an extra in your size.) Same-day registration between 9 – 9:45 a.m. is an additional $5 (cash or check, please).
To Register: Choose the race in which you’d like to participate, enter name and age on race day, pick your T-shirt size (unisex), and click “Add to Cart.” You will be taken to the PayPal site, where you can finish your purchase or return here to add another registration.
As a part of completing the Monkey Valley Race for Epilepsy registration for myself and/or my minor child, I agree to assume all risks inherent in participation in such program, whether they are apparent to me or not. I certify that I am in good physical health and fit to participate. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that participation carries an inherent risk of injury to my person and damage to my property. I hereby waive and release, for myself and for my heirs and assigns, any and all claims, causes of action, or liabilities which may hereafter accrue against the race host, John and Carrie Menk, and their affiliates, their agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, successors and assigns, Richland Township, and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the Monkey Valley Race, including any and all claims for personal injuries caused by John and Carrie Menk’s negligence.
Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of these events for any legitimate purpose, including use by the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota.
And if participant is a minor:
As the parent/legal guardian of the participant being registered here for the Monkey Valley Race, I hereby waive and release on behalf of my child, any and all claims, and causes of action, or liabilities which may hereafter accrue against John and Carrie Menk and their affiliates, their agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, successors and assigns, Richland Township and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, by reason of my child’s participation in said program, including any and all claims for personal injuries caused by John and Carrie Menk’s negligence. In addition, I accept full responsibility for the care and supervision of my child during the run in which the child is participating.
